    Paj Txoov Vwj

Post by Guest on September 27th 2009, 11:11 am

My father PangZhong Wu (Paj Txoov Vwj) is the 1st among all Hmoob who help researched our ancestor Chi You with the invitation from the Chinese officials/ generals. He was also invited to present the 3 Ancestor Hall to the public in Zhoulu County of China back on July 25, 1995 . This is just an introduction for those who have questions about Hmong (miao), where we came from? We all known that Hmong originated from Indochina, But this clarifies just a little, enough to understand that we Hmong did have a place and time of history. That we once had a ruler who was so powerful and that this is why we should preserve our culture, tradition, religion because one day we may not know who we are. As the future becomes our present and our present becomes our past , our past will become history. If we don't keep our history we will have nothing. If we have nothing Hmong will not exist, Hopefully this will lead you to a new door to explore and respect who Hmong (miao) people really are... So please enjoy this video....
For Chi You's Ghost... look in the hole and pause it. if you look closely you can see Chi You's eyes, nose and mouth.

Thank you, i hope you all enjoy this video.

    The Miao ancestors

Flourished along the Yellow River of present-day Shandong and Henan Province, contributing to the primitive, but highly advance Dawenkou civilization. 5000 years ago, the Miao ancestors were under the leadership of Chiyou, aka Txivyawg. Their tribe was known as 九里, or Kuj Cuab Cuaj Hlig Ntuj, known as the Nine Li kins of heaven. After the end of Chiyou, the Miao people established the three Miao kingoms, 三苗 known as San Miao or Vaj Peb Hmoob along the region of the Yangtze River. After the collapsed of Zhou kingdom, the Miao people seized many lost territories and established the 楚 Chu state during the Spring and Autumn Period / Warring States. This time was known as the prosperous period for the Miao ancestors. The Miao ancestors suffered greatly and no longer united after the end of Chu. The Miao people were implemented with heavy taxes and cruel policies, and continued to endure hardship until the end of Qing dynasty. Fate has caused our separation,We are distant physically and geographically,But, our hearts will always unite our love. Ghao Xong; Red Miao; west Hunan. Hmu, Gha Ne (Ka Nao); Black Miao; southeast Guizhou. A Hmao; Big Flowery Miao; northwest Guizhou and northeast Yunnan. Hmong, White Miao, Mong, Green (Blue) Miao, Small Flowery Miao; south Sichuan, west Guizhou and south Yunnan. Thanks to NiamTxiv for his love, dedication, passion and desires to inherit our Hmong/Miao history, culture and many traditions.
